Not long ago, on my writersGV@groups.io email group, I sent out a prompt containing my interview questions for my Featured Author or Business of the week column. Casey Mathews, who happens to be my Virtual Tech Advisor and Research Assistant plunged in with his answers and I thought his result so good, it needed shared.

First, in your own words tell us a little about you.
Well, hello all! I’m Casey, founder of WebFriendlyHelp.
Mostly I’m known for providing personalized access technology and information technology services for people. This typically includes troubleshooting and fixing problems and training sometimes in the same session. I connect to your computer, and we crush your tech woe list together.
Some also know that I do Audio Editing. Need a jingle in your podcast, need to clean up audio with precious memories? Maybe just take a recording and shorten it up so it is easier to listen to. I gotcha covered.
Lastly, I do research. What this means is different for whoever is asking. For some it could mean tracking down contacts in a company, lost friends, or a unusual gift ideas for that special someone. For others it is tracking down facts and figures for a book or finding articles and/or videos of interest.
Of course, all information presented is guaranteed to be easy to read and accessible. Why? Because I needed it to be accessible.
Where do you live?
I currently live in Colorado Springs. I’ve been here for about 2 years now. Just east of the rocky mountains!
Who are the special people in your life?
For me I have one special person. My wonderful wife Judy Mathews. She actually has a dog blog. She journals her adventures with her past and current guide dogs.

Do you have any pets?
We just got a dog named Spike. He is a retired PTSD dog. We’ve not had him for too long, and we are still learning about each other.
What keeps you going? I mean, like what inspires you and keeps you moving forward in your work?
Ultimately Jesus inspires me to do the very best that I can, not just for myself, but for all that I work with. I believe in treating everyone as if they were my one and only customer, to go the extra mile, and truly help all that I work with have a better day through all of my services.
My slogan, “Taking you to it, or walking you through it”, and “Makin your tech life easy”, is truly what I feel Jesus has me here to do.
What is your favorite song?
Boy that is a tough one…
It like many things changes. Currently if I had to only pick one it would probably be:
It gives me hope for the future. Hope is one of those engines that so many other things run on, like faith, but that’s a store for another day.
What is your favorite movie?
Gosh not sure I have a favorite movie at this point. Not really a big movie watcher.
What is your favorite book?
Wow, not sure I have a favorite book right now either. I’m kind of a love ‘em and leave ‘em kind of reader. I typically go back to the Bible and bounce around various translations of it as the need arises.
I also read a lot of self-help books, and a lot of Sci-Fi.
What is your favorite food?
It is a toss between Tacos and Pizza.
What is your favorite quote?
Hmm not sure I have one.
What is your favorite affirmation?
I’m going to pass on this one too. Too many good ones to pick.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
Oh boy!
I think mine would have to be people who make excuses for why they cannot do something they say they want to do.
What do you think your best strengths are, and how do they help you in your work?
I think I’m good at fixing problems, training people, and making tech work as efficiently and easy for people as can be. Of course, any all-things tech there is always more to learn and do.
What are your weaknesses, and how are you making them stronger?
I’m terrible with social media.
I’m making that stronger by hiring Patty to do it for me.
What is your dream for the future, and how does it relate to your work?
My dream is to keep doing what I’m doing and to help as many as I can!
What is your preferred way of communicating, and how can someone reach you if they wish to buy from or work with you in some way?

Casey Mathews is the founder of WebFriendlyHelp.com, a company designed to help people get the most out of their technology. He has worked in the Access Technology field since the mid 1990’s. He holds an MCP certification (Microsoft Certified Professional) as well as a BS in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix. He has also received the Florida division of Blind Services Access Technology endorsement. SERVICE OVERVIEW…
The idea behind my personalized access technology solution is that people have different needs and learning styles. Some want to learn as much as possible so they can be ready for anything.
