Excuses…Excuses…Excuses…Can’t Means Won’t

Excuses…Excuses…Excuses…Can’t Means Won’t

Good morning to all!
Here I sit on a wonderful Woden’s Day drinking my first hot strong cup of coffee, and giving thanks for a new day.

Already this morning I have read several posts from various places that are, filled with negativity, and excuses saying why this or that cannot be done.

I say, Pish Posh, to all that.

I say Excuses…excuses…excuses… There’s no reason for all that Can’t.

My momma used to say, nine out of ten times, can’t means won’t, and I think if she saw the way some of my friends carry on, she’d tell me to dump the entire lazy lot of them.

My mother taught me no matter how hard things get, no matter what your obstacle, you do not give up.

She taught me, if you have a need, you find a way to work toward filling that need, and you don’t walk round with your head down, hands in your pockets, whining about how you can’t do this or that.

Today, I’ve already had my bath. I will put on my going out about town clothes shortly, and Campbell and I will head over to the Oasis For Women, a center here in our area that serves women of all kinds, from all walks of life, and begin the process of putting my life back together.

I’ve gone to many groups over this past year or so, and all of them gave what I call band aids for problems. This group, it appears, gives long-term fixes, that if one works hard to maintain will bring them out of the darkness of problems, and into the light of a new life.

I no longer want a quick fix, but a lasting solution. I am ready to work hard, and make it happen.

So, excuses and the words I can’t, just aren’t part of my world.

If you find yourself in a rough situation, you need to do three things…

1. Admit to yourself the situation that you are in.
2. Admit to yourself why you’re in that situation.
3. Take responsibility for your situation, and do all you can to find lasting solutions to the issue.
Until next time, this is Patty, who is determined, and King Campbell A.K.A Bubba who is ready to walk by her side to see it gets done saying…
May harmony find you, and blessid be.
