Editors Wanted for The Writer’s Grapevine Magazine – Time Sensitive #Advertising #Editing #Writer’sGrapevine #Magazine

The Writer's Grapevine cover art is a colorful drawing of an outdoor scene. Clusters of purple grapes hang from green vines which drape across a brown table. The bright blue sky is makes up the background. On the table is a bottle of wine with the "The Writer's Grapevine" logo on the label, showing branches of purple grapes. A brown hardcover book and black electronic tablet sit beside the bottle and bear the "The Writer's Grapevine" logo. Also on the table is a glass of red wine and a delicious looking white layered cake, frosted with dripping red icing.

Good morning, to all.

I hope this message finds you doing well.

Here, I’m having a hard time believing August is upon us. Soon the fall and winter will creep up and we’ll be powering up for the holiday season.

It is with that thought in mind, I write this message to you.

To make The Writer’s Grapevine magazine the very best it can be, I’m looking for editors to help with the task of catching errors in articles Etc. before it is sent off to Two Pentacles Publishing for the final edit and release.

Thus far, I’ve had two offers for help. It would be awesome if we could confirm those and take on one more.

You must be a reader of the magazine. You cannot provide what is needed if you’re not familiar with the magazine.

Each editor would be responsible for specific columns.

The Adverts and News Nuggets section will be left to Two Pentacles Publishing as well as work on all photos.

The duties of those who would assist would be as follows…

1. Be willing to commit to a deadline.

2. Check for grammar and font mistakes and correct them as needed.

3. Provide light editing for brevity.

4. Check the wordcount to see it doesn’t accede the limit.

5. Keeping the lines of communication open with me and Dawn and Colleen from Two Pentacles Publishing.

6. Use and have current knowledge of Microsoft word.

If you feel this is something you’d be willing to do, please email me at: patty.volunteer1@gmail.com by Wednesday August 10.

Please be aware that this would be a volunteer position. I cannot pay you. However, your name and website would appear in the credits of the magazine.

When you email, please let me know if you could be available for a Zoom meeting with me and Two Pentacles Publishing during the week of August 13 – 19 in the evening.

(Dawn and colleen, I need your available times as well.

Thanks to all who read and contribute to this magazine. The Writer’s Grapevine is already a magnificent piece of work and is loved by many. It has the potential to go further if we can work together as a team to make it better.

To you who read, we do encourage your feedback. After all, it is for you we do the work we do.

If you’ve not already done so, please read the latest issue. If you need a copy send to you, please let me know.

*NEW FYI*

I have one editor confirmed and she states she can only meet in the evening on August 19.

Please keep in mind The Writer’s Grapevine only comes out four times a year so this is not something you’ll be doing every month.

Thanks very much in advance for your help.

Have a great day.
