Drifting in the Void

Drifting in the Void

Good morning, everyone.

I hope all are well.

I fell to sleep at just before 8 last evening. I literally died until 1:30 in the early morn.

I rose. Then I decided to doze, and now I’m finally up.

I never really went back to sleep but lying in the middle of my bed, wrapped up in all the blankets drifting somewhere between sleep and wake felt grand.

Finally, the dance and snug with the pillows was over.

I rolled over, and once my feet were on the floor there was no going back.

I don’t feel as well as I did yesterday morning when I woke. I’ve some pain this morning and congestion. I cannot take the full dose of the decongestant I have because it knocks me flat out for hours but if I don’t start seeing a marked improvement today, I’ll just have to relent. I hate losing whole sections of time, but I do not wish to have my surgery canceled again.

For now, the coffee is hot. The weather is rainy and not, and since I don’t have to go out, I don’t care.

I hope you all have a super day.

Laters.

  1. Patty, you might try taking the decongestant tonight before you go to bed. You might get a good night’s sleep and wake up feeling better tomorrow. Who knows? It’s worth a try, don’t you think? I’m assuming your surgery has already been rescheduled and hope it doesn’t get canceled again.

    1. I am taking a local Nasal spray now and it is working much better. It not only clears the nose and head but when breathed in and then exhaling through the mouth it also clears the chest and lungs. I’m seeing a marked improvement. I’ll stop it the night before the surgery unless the doctors say I can keep using that morning.
Even when taking the other med at night I found I slept for 12 or more hours and woke feeling disoriented. Keep in mind I am on other medications some for pain due to Fibro some for mental health so there are a lot of variables.
