Dominos Down
(Six Sentence Quatrain)

On a card table
Just to have some fun
Watch dominos fall
Lined up one by one.
One corner touching
Like an open book
Tall in staggered row
In shape of S hook.
Opposite corners
Standing tall on end
Domino effect
Makes them fall again.
As S row topples
Waving down the line
Watch each one flatten
Synchronized in time.
Moods swing like sharp curves
No warning turning
Standing tall then down
Past future yearning.
Life’s plans don’t align
All in a neat row
Sometimes the S curves
Are hard rows to hoe.
