Can – Can’t Which Are You? a Poetic Question by Patty L. Fletcher #PoetryPlace

I can’t,

This is why.

This is me,

The victim.

What if?

I can.

I can,

Won.

What if?

I can’t.

It’s all about me,

Turned into I can,

I can for you.

I can,

I can use,

I can use my,

I can use my talents,

I can use my talents, my,

I can use my talents, my abilities,

I can use my talents, my abilities,

I can use them for what is important for you.

It is not about me,

It is not about me, and what I can’t do,

But rather,

It’s about,

It’s about what I can,

It’s about what I can do,

It’s about what I can do for you.

    2. My poem was inspired by all the negativity I see people projecting.
I just wondered what it might be like if they turned that around.
