Burnout a Poem #PoetryPlace

I send out information,

Either no one is reading or it’s not clear.

I try as hard as I can,

To do the job given me.

It’s damned hard,

When one feels like they’re running into a big, oak tree.

They abound.

Not even Chief Seeing Eye® Dog Blue can get around.

I talk,

No one hears.

I cry,

Down fall my tears.

I hide in my chair,

While next to me a book narration plays.

I try to think of new things,

Try to find new ways.

Soon, I’m exhausted,

No matter what I do it’s wrong.

I’m just about done,

I’m ready to sing a new song.

Because the one I’m singing,

Is no longer fun.

  1. HI Patty, I am sorry you are feeling despondent. Life is a little trying right now, but it will get better. It always does. Hugs.

    1. Thanks for your support Robbie.
It’s just hard to do what I do when I get nothing but resistance

    2. Hi again, I just wanted to write back and say I’m feeling much better.
A few things are straight, a few more will be soon and your support through it all is much-needed and welcome.
      Love much.

      1. I am so pleased to know that, Patty
