Hi, everyone. I sat down around noon to write out a quote that was running around in my head. I ended up having a memory due to the quote and two hours later came the result.
The Muse Strikes again!
Please note, I’m not speaking of any specific people. This is all generalizing.
Be prayerful and Listen for the creator’s Direction. Everything else will fall in line.
What do you think of the title? I have followed that belief practice for so long, I don’t really remember when it began. I do, however, remember something which solidified my faith in a huge way.
I wanted to say this years ago at my grandmother’s funeral when everyone was speaking about her, but knowing my father does not like such public displays, I decided to just say a silent thank you to her and let it pass.
Well, dad, sorry, but I’m gonna share my story about the time Mammy and I were sitting on the porch swing after church one fall evening, and how she taught me about faith.
I would have been brief at the funeral. Here, however, I’m going to tell the tale.
On the Porch Swing with Mammy – Mammy? Do you really believe it?
“Mammy, do you really believe what the preacher says about having faith?” I asked hesitantly as the swing rocked gently with our movement.
I liked these times best. When Papa was at work or wherever, and neither of my sisters nor the cousins were around. Mammy would read or talk with me and I always learned things. She could be gruff, and at times aloof but Our personalities matched. Maybe that’s why we got on so, I don’t know. I just know those quiet times when it was just Mammy and me were special.
My grandmother didn’t always know what to do with me. She came from a different time. I understand her initial reaction to a blind grandchild was not beautiful. But my parents brought her to see me at The Tennessee School for The Blind and she was so proud of me.
I didn’t know my grandfather as well. A few things stand out about him. First, sometimes he could be loud, and he had a voice that could sound mean. He intimidated me. I learned later he was going deaf and did not know how loud he was. (Sorry Papa. I get it now) At the same time, he would sometimes tell me stories while we sat on the front porch of their house and that was fun. One other thing, he worked for Mead Paper Mill in Kingsport Tennessee, and he would bring me paper to draw, write, and color on. I even got paper from him for my braille writer. Oops. I’m chasing rabbits. A blog post for another day.
That evening Mammy and I had just come from a Sunday night church service. I’d changed into my PJS and was eating a popsicle Mammy and I had made ourselves earlier in the day. Normally, we stayed home on Sunday nights. Mammy liked going in the morning. I was nine or ten years old, so though I didn’t mind terribly going to church, I did like that she’d chosen to go at night this Sunday and I got to stay up later Saturday, and sleep in that morning. Also, the singing was great. I loved and still love old-time gospel hymns. Especially the upbeat ones.
For a moment, Mammy didn’t answer. I didn’t know if she was annoyed with me, or if she was thinking. I, for a wonder, decided to keep still. Finally, she said, “I once prayed for twenty years about something before I got my answer. Then, one day, I knew.” She never said if it was the answer she wanted. She just said she finally knew. Somehow, that stuck with me. Mammy believed so strongly that she was willing to go to her God, and speak to him every, single, day, for twenty whole years knowing that when it was time, she’d know.
My Prayerful Life
I don’t remember much about the rest of the conversation. That was before time was toothless. I just know that, since that day, I’ve prayed about everything. Out of coffee, I got no money for more. Pray. Sick with Cancer and need an operation pray. The Creator listens. It’s all important. If God is our heavenly father than we must sometimes realize that he is going to behave, well, “Parentally.” LOL. And we must also realize, sometimes, we ain’t gonna like it. Sometimes though, if we are brave and ask and we’re willing to do the work we can, have the absolute desire of our heart. My apartment and current life are proof. I haven’t gotten all I’m manifesting but like Mammy I’ve got faith. (Hello! Mother Father God! If you please? Assist me in this writing. May it say what is needed to touch the hearts of anyone who needs it.)
I’ve been to a lot of different churches. I’ve belonged to a lot of faith practices, (denominations, and something I’ve learned is, each story of Creation, Salvation, Etc. It’s the same. It’s the words, the semantics that trip everyone up.
I am created in the image of God. I am a woman. See my essay “The Triple Goddess and My Path”
That will explain the truth in my spiritual world.
Today, I’m pleased because I am more in alignment with Spirit than ever before in my life. I am certain everything I am doing at this time is the right thing. I am certain I am in the situations I am supposed to be in and am in friendships, business relations, and things in between and sometimes beyond with various people and each one, even if they are in the same faith practice, has differing beliefs they hold tightly to. Those are what make them unique to The Creator. There are a few in my world who aren’t certain of what or even if they believe at all. But really, they’re no different than the rest of us. After all, we’re all trying to figure it out. We’re all looking for our pathways through life, and we all are here on this planet currently for a reason.
I used the term “Her God” a while ago. Truthfully, that’s a false hood and should never be spoken again.
He is Our God. He is our creator. She is our Goddess, our Creator. After all we were taken from the very dust of the earth, and are we not filled with the Creator’s breath. If God created us, he is a “Creator” and whatever name someone calls is so irrelevant it’s insane. A pastor read scripture once and it said that God, “Yahweh was known by as many as 2000 names. It’s terribly sad that people waste such time thinking about it.
It’s also sad that people see others passing by they know nothing about and they make judgmental assumptions about them simply by what they observe as they pass. Then, in the next breath they speak of not wanting to harm their Christion testimonies or what they’re doing Spiritually. “WTH?” is the question running round in my head. That nasty, judgmental presumptuous crap you’re spouting about people you know nothing about is shredding your “Testimonies.”.”
You might think again.
I’m not judging. Just stating what I observed.
Nasty. Jesus left that conversation the moment that stuff was going on. He went and ministered to those being judged harshly by those who thought they were better, more important, and certainly they would see their creator after they passed, but “Those People” (Spoken as if spitting out a rotten potato well, by the Gods, that’s just wrong. Say what you will, but I know Jesus, my teacher, my brother, my rescuer he does not like that and it hurts him when it is done.
Yesterday, I had occasion to be nice to the neighbor who lives across the hall from me. She can be trying. She is quite mentally ill, and while I’m sure the things people tell me of her background are mostly correct, I also know for certain there are things in that woman’s life people don’t know and those things helped to make her who she is. I too have mental illness and not long ago, it raised that old troublesome tiresome bitch up came out and head a good time looking around for people to fight with, be ugly to and become unnecessarily paranoid for a couple of days before I managed to get the troublesome bitch put back in the box. I have support. This woman has run all her support off and done nothing concrete to make changes so she can either redeem old friendships, make new ones, or both. I did that. I rebuilt a support system and when I began out on the ledge of an episode there were gentle loving hands and voices speaking softly and performing kind and thoughtful actions to and for me both in my physical sphere and from texts phone calls and prizes in the mail coming from all around the country to pull me away from the edge and help me get back on solid ground. I also have my faith. That’s who I am now. It could happen to me again. I hope if it does someone will be forgiving and non-judgmental. Have I had Discordia with her? Yes. Yesterday, however, she was coming through the lobby, saying, hello, to everyone she passed, and she had a cart. I was getting on the elevator, and the door was getting ready to close. “May I ride with you?” She called just as the thing started closing. “Yes. Hang on.” I replied. I reached out, pressed the button, the door opened, and Blue and I stepped back to give room. I had him sit, the door closed, and for a moment there was silence. Then, as we rose, she said, “He is beautiful. I know now that he is your guide dog and he helps you get around because you’re blind. Some dogs are not nice and they scare me. I was told he would not hurt me. A dog hurt me badly once many years ago That sometimes gets stuck in my head.”
I told her, “’today is yesterday’s tomorrow, and tomorrow is another day We’re here now, sharing an elevator car and not fighting. That’s what counts.”
When the car reached our floor. I had her go out in front of me. At first, she seemed uncomfortable. I wanted to show her that Blue would not hurt her. I said, “Go ahead, It’s Okay. I promise.”
She went out and walked quickly up the hall. People, that lady can move! Whatever she is, I hope I’m that physically fit when I’m her age.
Anyhow, I stepped out, let the elevator door close and waited until she was half-way down the hall. Then, I gave Blue the forward command, and then at once rocked the harness handle saying, “Steady boy. Neighbor’s first.”
I knew she had the cart and she needed to open her door. I gave her space and waited until she’d started to pull the cart inside before I passed. I went to my door. She closed hers. I put my key in the lock. She re-opened her door. I’ll be honest, I tensed. This lady is very mentally ill and can flip on the dime. But I eased quickly as she said, “That was nice of you to catch the door and let me in. Thank you.” I nearly cried. Yeah, I’m soft hearted and I love everyone. I said, as best I could, around the lump in my throat. “You’re welcome. Let’s try to do that again. I have mental illness too. Not long ago mine showed its ass. It happens.”
We went our separate ways. There will be issues in the future. My prayer is this, when they happen, I want to be given GRACE, DIGNITY, and STRENGTH. I want to BEHAVE as the CREATOR would have me behave. As Jesus would behave. As Gaia would behave.
I urge everyone. Help stop the madness. “In a world where you can be anything be kind.” Doctor Suess.

The Blended Lives Chronicles: A Lady MoonWalker Series
Series Summary and Author Bio
Series Summary
The Blended Lives Chronicles is a speculative fantasy series that blends interplanetary politics, magick, prophecy, and resistance against oppression. At its heart is Lady Laya MoonWalker, a High Priestess, author, and advocate whose life’s work is dedicated to dismantling systems that divide beings by race, creed, ability, or perceived purity.
In Book I, Sides of the Order, Laya, who lives and works on Planet Korponious, travels to Casimia as a respected journalist and spiritual leader, newly aligned with the Blended Lives Federation. What begins as a professional opportunity quickly becomes personal and perilous when she reunites with Derrick Gibbous, a member of the Order of the Night. As old bonds rekindle, hidden loyalties surface, and a violent conflict erupts between forces seeking unity and those driven by segregation and dark magick. Love, trust, and survival collide as Laya and Derrick commit themselves to a cause greater than either of them.
Book II, A Battle of Choices, deepens the conflict as prophecy comes into play. Laya must learn to wield her magick in unfamiliar and increasingly dangerous ways while facing enemies determined to “purify” the universe of those they deem unworthy. As the stakes rise, both Laya and Derrick are forced to confront moral dilemmas that test their beliefs, their love, and the cost of resistance.
In Book III, Chambers Between the Minds, the war of the Purified is fully underway. With Derrick forced into hiding and Laya nearing the birth of prophesied twins said to possess unprecedented power, the Order faces its most dangerous turning point yet. The story moves beyond the physical realm into the chambers between minds—a place where past, present, and future converge, and where outcomes are tested, rejected, and reshaped. Survival depends not only on strength, but on the willingness to confront truth, memory, and destiny itself.
Together, the series explores themes of unity versus division, the ethics of power, love forged under fire, and the necessity of choice in the face of authoritarian control.
