I plan to present about the Assistive Touch feature with IOS13 with the use of a mouse. I will also discuss my research process to help my clients find success in using the iPad. We will also touch on my current remote training through Lighthouse of Broward, in which I am a Certified Assistive Technology Instructional Specialist. I am blind, and there are challenges to overcome in my remote training. I collaborate with others in the field to gain more insight as to improve my quality of remote training. As an instructor, I teach in the use of screen readers on the computer and smartphones/tablets, as well as magnification access programs on the same devices. I will also talk about the difficulties of overcoming obstacles as a blind individual during the pandemic as well.
