Hello Meredith. Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to drop into the Author’s Corner to share this exciting news with us.

Hi Patty. This is an exciting event to be sure. So, let me start by saying thank you for having me here in the Author’s Corner today. Let me explain a bit about the event.

Ladies’ Day is a time for women of congregations to spend a period of fellowship and to learn from God’s Word.  The time is one of encouragement and uplifting joy in which a meal is shared, we unite in song and hear a message to bring us strength.

Since you asked about my book. Here’s the info on it.

My book is Blind Beauty and Other Tales of Redemption. I’d like to invite folks to please visit me on my Goodreads site:

Readers can learn all about me there.

Thanks so much for having me on the Author’s Corner today.

Meredith, how exciting for you to have this wonderful opportunity to participate in such a fabulous event.

Readers, I must say, it is I who should be thanking Meredith. Just before my computer finally began to die Meredith generously donated $50 to me for the purchase of copies of my book, Bubba Tails From the Puppy Nursery At The Seeing Eye so that I could sell them and donate the proceeds to King Campbell’s homeland The Seeing Eye.

When the computer gave up the ghost, I had to put that project on hold, but I’m happy to announce that in May I will move forward, and it is thanks to Meredith and her wonderfully loving generous spirit that this is so. Meredith is truly a great author, client and friend and it shows mightily in not only her donation but her work.

Thank you, Patty, for your kind words. I just try and live as God would have me do. I hope all ladies who are able in my area will come and be with us during this special time.

Thanks again for having me and have a wonderful day.

Best, Meredith.

Meredith Leigh Burton was born on July 4, 1983. As a result of a premature birth, she was placed under oxygen to develop her lungs. The three month’s exposure

to the oxygen led to the development of retinopathy of prematurity. Meredith attended the Tennessee School for the Blind in Nashville, where she enjoyed

choir, theater classes, and participating on the forensics team. After high school, Meredith attended Middle Tennessee State University where she received

her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and theater. She is a certified English teacher for grades 7-12. Meredith loves assisting with church activities,

spending time with family and friends and reading any book she can get her hands on. She is a chocoholic and Mexican food fanatic. She has always devoured

allegorical books, and was first introduced to the fantasy genre by a teacher who whetted her appetite by taking her to the Narnia books in the elementary

school library. “The kids in these stories go to another world,” the teacher whispered enticingly. That was just the hook Meredith needed. Her favorite

fiction book is To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee, and her favorite nonfiction book is The Holy Bible. Meredith lives in Lynchburg, Tennessee with her

parents and an adorable tabby cat named Simba. She has two precious nieces, Aliya Davine and Tristyn Layla.
