  1. Thanks, Patty. If all goes well, the audio version of the book should be released about mid-November.

    1. Hi, that’s awesome. So, talk to us a little bit about that process. How does it work? What does a person need to do to get their books on audio format? What has it been like for you? In the end is it worth all the hassle?

      1. ACX, the behind-the-scenes piece of Audible, is part of Amazon. The company is easy to work with. Basically, you choose a narrator from the site, and that person is paid based on the length of your book, either up front or over time as audio copies of your book sell. It’s important for me to get my books into accessible formats, so I’d say it’s worth the hassle. But the investment is pretty substantial. It’s only for those who are in the business over the long haul.

        1. Hi, I noted that you stayed here there are two ways to pay. Can you talk a little more about how that works without giving too much of your own personal information away? Yes, I’ve tricked you into an interview LOL.

  2. The first way is paying per finished hour, or PFH. So if your book is 2.5 hours long, and the narrator is asking $300 PFH, you’d pay $750 to that person to do your audio. You’d typically pay half when the contract gets signed and the other half when the book is completed and uploaded to Audible. And $300 for two and a half hours isn’t a lot of money, either, when you consider that the narrator has all of the recording equipment, edits the files, and uploads them to the site for you. The other way of paying is called royalty sharing. Some narrators will do it and others won’t, but it’s a good plan for those who don’t have a lot of money to start with. You pay nothing up front, or sometimes a small fee. But as your audios sell on the site, you and the narrator split the profits equally.

    1. This, is very good information to have.
I am very grateful to you for sharing it.
I am considering putting my newest book on audible. Hopefully that will take place. In the meantime I have to sit down and write the back text for the back cover. LOL. Which I am no good at.
Anyway, your book is quite good and I hope that it has much success.

      1. Thanks. Good luck with your back cover! You promote us all beautifully; it’s time to sell yourself!

        1. Hi Jo.

You all do the work. I’m just here to see it gets out to the World.

You be sure to let me know when this book of yours becomes available on Audible and we’ll shout it out to the World!

We all are the Light, automatically. So we really don’t have to go too much further than that. We all have a Light within us – it is the Soul; it is that spark of God, of the Divine, that activates our consciousness.
