I knew that
There was something about you
That called to me
Protector of the source of life
Speaks to my advocacy
Because that means women to me
The water of the Nile,
The water of the womb, indeed
Or strangling grip
To be generous
With the harvest
To make sure her people don’t starve
Goddess of the hunt
Of childbirth and lust
And all that stuff
For safe passage
Through floods and wind gusts
And at the end of the day
Let’s say, dusk
You’ll know who, your protector was

When Butterfly is not working her day job as a counselor, she spends her time with the two loves of her life, reading and creative writing. She is a life-long learner and tries to make time to watch jeopardy! Every night. She also admits to a hopeless addiction to chocolate.
