🍁🍂🍃
Greetings, friends. Welcome to my most favorite season, autumn. What do I love most about it? I love it because August provides clear signals the Northern hemisphere is rotating away from the sun. Being a sensitive person, I hear it in the sounds and sensations of nature. What do I find the least attractive about autumn is the way the falling leaves make my nose itch and my eyes water. Darned allergies. I’ll take it anyway, along with a box of tissues and antihistamines.
The next newsletter will be a double issue because I will be away in October.
I’ll have plenty to share when I am back at my computer in November.
🎙️ Donna interviewed me, one of the best interviews I’ve had in a long time, thanks to Donna! Remarkable World Commentary Episode #107: Interview with Ann Chiappetta, Author, Poet and President of Friends in Art | By Donna J. Jodhan, LLB, ACSP, MBA | Courtesy of the PWD Media Co-op

🔖Coming soon: I am writing and editing a collection of short stories I am hoping to offer for sale. The stories will be in different genres like urban fantasy, science fiction and speculative fiction. I am shooting for December 2026. More to come on this project soon.
🎧 If you like writing and reading and everything else in between, check out the FIA Author Collective podcast. We talk writing, the writing life, creativity, books we like and being a creative. I love sharing what brings me joy and hearing from callers who also share their thoughts, book recommendations and how they write. You can pick it up on the podcast player of your choice. If you do listen, I’ve love to hear from you! Reply to this email or contact me: anniecms64@gmail.com .
Until next time –

Stars
By Sarah Teasdale
From “Flame and Shadow” 1920, The McMillan Company, New York.
Alone in the night
On a dark hill
With pines around me
Spicy and still,
And a heaven full of stars
Over my head,
White and topaz
And misty red;
Myriads with beating
Hearts of fire
That eons
Cannot vex or tire;
Up the dome of heaven
Like a great hill,
I watch them marching
Stately and still,
And I know that I
Am honored to be
Witness
Of so much majesty
