Happy Semi quincentennial to the United States! I don’t think I will ever use that six syllable word meaning the passing of two hundred and fifty years again, so I just had to slide it into this newsletter. 😉Incidentally, there is a Phantom Fireworks store two miles from us, so we will join the neighborhood and put on our own show this year.

🌻 The deer have eaten all our Hasta from the front yard and the rabbits have been getting the strawberry bushes. But everything in the raised beds has been growing well so far, especially the dill, they are almost five feet tall now.
Other things happening in July: From July 13 to 31 I will be participating in the American Council of the Blind’s annual conference and convention. Since I am not traveling to St. Louis, where it is being held, I am connecting virtually and facilitating four sessions and presenting during two others.
There will be a session on tactile access to the arts, a book banning discussion, a protest poetry presentation, a song writing panel and a prose and poetry open mic.
