Cabin Fever! 😱
Western PA has been trapped in the deep freeze barreling along the east coast. It’s freaking cold! Indoor activities are key to keeping engaged and active for me. Jerry has been shoveling snow and helping with the shopping and driving me around. The animals are all well and have been transformed into snuggle buddies. Jerry made a trail for Adam, our mail person, and named it the Adam Trail. He has also been helping our neighbor with her garbage cans when it’s icy or snowy. May the dog has been in her glory jumping, spinning and digging in the snow.
I like this time of year, it is productive for me. We’ve got a few projects to finish but our home is peaceful and we thank the gods for the interwebs.
I am continuing to grow my writing projects and the Author Collective program for Friends in Art on the ACB Media Network. Two episodes are set for February, one on non-traditional love poems and the second on writing family histories. 💖 Contact president@friendsinart.org for more information about the Author Collective and past episodes.
I continue to work on my poems with instructor John Sibley Williams. I am tapping away at a few stories both fiction and nonfiction. My most recent fiction novel, Imperfections is being narrated. The L.A. fires delayed the process. I am glad my narrators are okay and the fires did not do anything serious to them or their families.
I am sending my thoughts to each of you and hope we all continue to stay resilient during this time of political uncertainty. As a person with a disability and being blind for over thirty years, I have never feared more for my Civil Rights as I do now.
Peace –
Annie
For my blind and low vision friends there is an animated graphic called a GIF image of a log cabin with a fire in the fireplace.

“We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out.”
