April greetings, I hope you didn’t get fooled overly much on April 1. 😉 It’s National Poetry Month and I’ve been distracted by the increase in poetry events and writing opportunities.

☁️ Despite the rainy weather, it’s looking like spring and we are gearing up for a plentiful growing season. We’ve added vacuum sealing to our food saving repertoire in anticipation of vegetables. I’ve experimented with making sauces with a cooking blender. It’s perfect for the two of us. I’ve discovered cooking meals for two and not wasting leftovers is quite a challenge. I often wish for a third person to come to dinner so we don’t waste what’s left. An evergreen guest who pops in brings their own bottle of vino and eats the rest. 🍽️

🦮 I am so happy to share I will be receiving training at home with my third guide dog in May. Though it’s been a long wait, almost two years, it was beneficial. I truly mourned Bailey’s death. It left me feeling empty and sad for months. Those months were needed for me to heal inside and now it feels like I am ready to open my heart to a new partner.

⛪ I hope your spring is filled with the renewed beauty of nature and love. For those of you who observe Easter or Passover, I also hope it is blessed and meaningful.
