This week, I was invited back to the book club at the library about a mile and half from our apartment complex. Then, afterward I was headed back home because I didn’t have money for lunch when my neighbor said, “It’s OK you can go with me.”
I said, “OK but you must pinky swear to let me pay next time.”
Laughing we hooked pinkies and next week it’s my turn.
The group of 15 women have now become 16. I’m part of a group that is a true live and in person Free to Be Me call.
That has kept me smiling.
