Memo from helping Hands for the Blind
As many of you may know by now Helping hands for the Blind is in the fight of our lives to survive the crisis brought about by Covid-19. Our thrift stores which bring our major source of income have closed in California.
At present, many wonderful blind persons have stepped up to make much needed financial donations and we thank them so very much.
I want to recognize Patrick Olsen, the President and CEO of project ray for his desire to make a donation through 2020.

This organization is special to me and I hope to raise some awareness of its troubles.
Back when I wrote my first book, Campbell’s Rambles: How a Seeing Eye Dog Retrieved My Life, the president of the organization Bob Acosta had me on his show Your Guide Dog and You.
That lead to my being sponsored to attend the 2015 Top Dog convention and that lead to all sorts of neat things.
So, they kind of helped me get my start.
