Hello to all.
I’ve just left today’s Goodreads WebinAr.
- I wrote ahead of time to the presenter to state that I and others who would attend were visually challenged and or totally blind and requested that they describe things as they went through them visually for us and they did not do this at all.
- The Webinar screen was not accessible at all. None of the links for participating by raising hand to ask a question in the Q&A section of the text boxes were labeled and so my screenreader could not read them and so I could not participate.
- When I wrote to the person who was to assist if there was an issue I got a digital response.
- And lastly as if all this weren’t bad enough, the thing started 15 minutes late and the presenter’s dog kept barking in the background. BLEH!
I will find someone who uses Goodreads and I will have them as a guest on my Podcast and I will make it a live interactive event. To hell with KDP University and their lack of attention to disabled writers!
