Today, I’m reblogging a post in which Dr. Crystal Grimes shows us how to play a recorder while wearing a mask. Having recently attended a virtual jazz concert, during which the brass and wind players did not wear masks, I found this idea quite ingenious and wonder if it would work with other mouth instruments. Of course, it would take a lot more air to project the sound through the mask, but it might be worth considering. If you play a trumpet, horn, or other such instrument, please let Crystal and/or me know what you think after checking out the demonstration linked to below.
