My late husband Bill was a fan of the Colorado Rockies baseball team, even when they weren’t doing well. I don’t know if he ever attended a game, but he enjoyed listening on the radio, no doubt wishing he could be center field, but because of his limited vision as a child, playing baseball was out of the question.
After he passed, I had an opportunity to attend a game with relatives at Coors Field in Denver. Because I’d forgotten to pack a portable radio in order to hear the play-by-play, and since my own vision was limited, I didn’t always know what was going on, but as I sat in the stands, I felt close to Bill. If he were still alive, he would have been in the nursing home, and he would have probably called me every so often, and as I always did, I would have commiserated…

We all are the Light, automatically. So we really don’t have to go too much further than that. We all have a Light within us – it is the Soul; it is that spark of God, of the Divine, that activates our consciousness.

To be totally terribly honest, this year, Iâve paid no attention to baseball whatsoever.
Iâve been so busy with my writing and business I just am so tired at the end of the day I just want to flake out with some book or podcast and do nothing.

Well, I must admit but I have never been much of a sports fan. I only listen to games with Bill when he was alive. Now, I hardly pay any attention to the teams. So, don’t feel bad.

Funny what we do for the men in our lives.
When I was with Donnie, I got totally into racing.
After he went away, for the longest kind of time a mutual friend and I would get together nearly every week for Sunday racing.
Then that friend grew very elderly and ill and his daughter moved him away to live with her, and over time my interest in racing waned.
I still catch a race now and then and occasionally I look at the stats online but mostly I donât.
LOL.
When I started seeing my continuing friend Bobby he was into football but that was just further than I was willing to go.
So, I told him, âWatch all the football you want. Iâm gonna curl up here on the couch with a book or my computer and do my thing.â
He didnât care and I didnât have to try to understand something that try as I might I probably never would.
I did get excited watching him get excited though. LOL.
