Wisdom – Creation – Calling #WordPressWednesday

I’d like to invite you to have a look at what author and artist Lynda McKinney Lambert is musing on today.

I began to think about some questions:

The word WISDOM  (חכם) is mentioned 222 times in the Hebrew Bible.

What is WISDOM?
Who has it?
Does it come as we grow older?
Where does WISDOM come from?
How can I know if I have WISDOM?

  1. How nice of you to feature my essay on “wisdom” here, Patty. I enjoy thinking about things we cannot understand through our physical senses. I like to go back to the root of a thing and inspect it in it’s original state – to set the historical context of things. Thank you for sharing this!

      Good morning Lynda.

I was happy to share. I too like to examine things via way of all my senses. So many people don’t seem to know how to do that and what’s worse is that so many have no desire to learn how.

Over these last few months I’ve come to realize that many are very closed off in their ways of thinking and understanding and I find this to be quite sad.

I’m working toward distancing myself from such people and trying to find more likeminded people to work with instead.

      Food For Thought

We all are the Light, automatically. So we really don’t have to go too much further than that. We all have a Light within us – it is the Soul; it is that spark of God, of the Divine, that activates our consciousness.

      • I am also doing this.

You know the Romans had a wonderful way of exploring ideas.

They would just gather in the streets and when someone wanted to speak, they would raise one arm up into the sky – with the palm facing outwards. That was the signal they have something to say and everyone would come and join in the discussion. When you look at statues of the Romans you will see this posture. It means “Be quiet, I have something to talk about. Listen to me.”

Discussing ideas is to be embraced and cherished – all ideas. It is how learning takes place – through discussion of ideas and thoughtful consideration of each other.

To be doing the sort of things we see going on here in America now, is barbarian. It shows no class and no intelligence – it shows only violence and destruction – nihilism. What we see is a page right out of the Third Reich – the burning and destroying of homes, buildings and libraries. Civilized people do not do these things – we need to learn a lesson about being civil and we can begin by looking at the Romans, and before them, the Greeks. Only barbarian tribes did the things people are doing right now in America. L.
