Big Body Parts and Bad Decisions #TMI Tuesday

My Corner

Here are my answers to this week’s thought-provoking questions. Scroll down to learn how you can participate.

What is the biggest part of your body?

In my opinion, the biggest parts of my body are my legs.

What is the best bad decision you have ever made?

Several years ago, I bought an iPad Mini with a Bluetooth keyboard for about $400. Because of my limited vision, I was daunted by the touch screen. But a blind friend with this device said I could just use the keyboard and not worry about gestures. Wrong! Even with the keyboard, I found the device clunky, and I never could get the hang of the gestures. After a few months, I gave up.

Now, friends tell me the iPhone is easier. One friend has told me where I can get virtual one on one instruction on gestures for an affordable price…

      Hi Abbie.

      First, you’re welcome.

Next, you seriously need to actually do your own research on Apple.com concerning iPhones and iPhads.

It appears that your constant taking all information from this friend or that rather than doing your own research is leaving you quite flat.

Yes, I told you that you could get lessons from Casey, and since you’re already paying for services those types of things are included, but your lack of knowledge on the forefront is what’s hurting you the most.

Your friend who is quoting prices to you is misleading you to a degree.

Depending upon the type of phone you buy and whether it is brand new or refurbished will decide the price.

Yes, some phones are within the price range you quote, but you can also find good devices for a lesser cost in many cases if you take the time to research the product.

It will also decide on how easy it is to use.

Also all Apple devices work basically the same way.

So, as I repeatedly suggest to you “Fact Check” and “Research is going to always be your friend.

Making blanket statements without knowing from where you speak in all things whether it’s a comment on social media or a blog or in your writing will hurt you in the end.

I’m saying this to you and everyone reading.

People cannot trust your books, blogs, or businesses if you do not provide factual information.

      Food For Thought

We all are the Light, automatically. So we really don’t have to go too much further than that. We all have a Light within us – it is the Soul; it is that spark of God, of the Divine, that activates our consciousness.

      • Thank you for the suggestion, Patty. As it so happens, I’m planning to do just that and should have said so in the post. Also, I plan to contact one of your sponsors, Casey Matthews, at Web Friendly Help, about training with gestures on the iPhone. By the way, my friend said later that most companies offer financing options. So, I’ll definitely look into that.

        Hi.

Unless you have an iPhone he won’t be able to teach you. No way to learn if you don’t have the device. That’s kind of like signing up to take piano lessons with no piano to practice on. LOL.

      • I realize that. But I want to be sure he’s willing to help me first. Once I get the iPhone, I’ll contact him about lessons. But I just now emailed him to ask some questions.

I do not for the life of me understand why you need to make this so godforsaken complicated! Teaching Apple device use is one of his list of services. Why do you need to overthink everything? Relax! Don’t make everything so hard!
