Good afternoon everyone, and welcome to the Author’s Corner.
This afternoon multi-genre author Phyllis Staton Campbell has dropped back by to chat with us about her writing project. When last we visited with her she announced that she’s working on the sequel of Where Sheep May Safely Graze. If you’ve not read that book you’ve certainly missed out on a treat.
Be sure to read onward after her update to find out about all her magnificent works.
Hi Phyllis, I’m glad you could take time out of your busy schedule to come by and chat with us about your work. How’s it going?
Hi and thanks for having me in today. This book is coming right along. I got the first chapter of the book past the outline stage and written, so now I have a prologue which I may or may not use. I wrote a little over a thousand words this morning and made corrections. I’m really pleased at the way it’s going. Thanks for the Writer’s Grapevine. That’s a real treat for those of us who don’t have time to wade through lots of messages during the week.
A teaser for you this afternoon, “Pastor in a tree”, maybe blind pastor up a tree.
Well, Phyllis, you’ve got my curiosity up with all these little teasers. Having read the first book, I can only imagine what Pastor Jim, Amy, and their congregation might be up to.
Readers, I must say if you’ve not taken the time to read Phyllis’s Where Sheep May Safely Graze as well as her other works, you’re truly missing out.
What? You’ve not read her work? Good Grief! Let’s fix that right away. See below for all the details, and for those of you who read via bard.loc.gov Miss Phyllis has some of her works there and her other ones can be found on Amazon and other book buying sites.

Where Sheep May Safely Graze
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Phyllis Staton Campbell, who was born blind, writes about the world she knows best. She calls on her experience as teacher of the blind, peer counselor and youth transition coordinator. She says that she lives the lives of her characters: lives of sorrow and joy; triumph and failure; hope and despair. That she and her characters sometimes see the world in a different way, adds depth to the story. She sees color in the warmth of the sun on her face, the smell of rain, the call of a cardinal, and God, in a rainbow of love and grace.
Although she was born in Amherst County, Virginia, she has lived most of her life in Staunton, Virginia, where she serves as organist at historic Faith Lutheran church, not far from the home she shared with her husband, Chuck, who waits beyond that door called death.
