KINGSPORT! CAMPBELL AND I NEED YOUR HELP PART 2

Good morning Campbellsworld visitors and followers everywhere.
I hope this message finds you doing super great.
Since I’m awake in the night dealing with some back and neck pain and need a distraction I have decided to update everyone as to my transportation situation.
I’m going to be copying this a few places, so some comments may not apply to your reading situation.
I’m lazy and don’t want to rewrite this a half dozen places, so here we go.
😊
As some might remember, a few days ago I wrote a post called, ‘Kingsport! Campbell and I Need Your Help’

If you’ve not read that and you’d like to get into the loop, please see

POST URL: https://campbellsworld.wordpress.com/2018/03/27/kingsport-campbell-and-i-need-your-help-readers-please-share-far-and-wide/

A few things have happened since the writing of that particular post, so I wanted to try and put everyone who are following and commenting in various places onto the same page.
I’d hoped everyone reading would simply comment here on the blog, but there are a few on Facebook who are commenting in the comments sections, who are commenting on the original rant which inspired the post shown above in the URL and so I’ve been inspired to write again.
Electronic communication is great, until it breaks down. LOL!
No harm meant, and no harm done.
😊

So here we go!

First to those wanting to know if I have spoken to or worked with an O&M instructor the answer is yes.
I have seen an instructor a couple times, but because of bad weather a couple times, and now the spring break for his kids, he has not had a chance to assess the current situation with the alley-way out back.
But.
I have, and I do not find it doable.
First, I want to clear something up.
There are a couple local drivers following this situation who continue to refer to the four-way-stop where the bus stop I wish to get to is located.
That is not the issue.
The issue is getting to said four-way-stop, and that is well described in the post shown in the URL above.

For those wanting to know if I have been in contact with The Seeing Eye, the answer is also yes.
As with the mobility instructor they have not had a chance to actually look at the situation.
However, yesterday I received a message from the rights advocate at KATS wanting to know when I could be available to meet with her and the director.
I have written back and let her know my schedule and am now waiting again on a reply.
The holiday has slowed progress but I’m hopeful.
In the meantime, I have been alternating between use of the Door To Door Transport available to me via KATS (Kingsport Area Transit)
And a local cab company who has very inexpensive trip cost.
I have also decided that if I have several places to go that the best option for now is to take a cab to the nearest place I wish to go, where a mass transit stop is located, and once I’m done at the first stop to use the bus to go all the other places I want to go, and then come back to my starting point and catch a cab back to the house.
It seems that writing all this out and getting it straight for not only those whom I need help from, but in my own head as well has helped to bring some solution to the issue.
While I am still hopeful of a permanent solution of some kind, for now this is the best I can do, and I have to say it has been a bit of a relief to have more than one option for leaving the house.
I should add that a friend reached out with a bit of financial help to make buying bus coupons and cab rides possible, and someone else has offered to purchase an extra booklet of coupons for me at the first of the month.
To you who chided me for voicing my problem in public, well, all I can say to that is that if you do not let folks know you’re having a problem they cannot help.
I also want to say that I am a writer and writing out my frustrations is how I deal, so if at any time you’re uncomfortable with something I write, just don’t read it.
You won’t offend me, and I mean no offense to you.
How is Campbell dealing with all this?
He is absolutely back to his wiggly happy self because we have been able to get out and about.
He loves getting into his harness and the only problem I have there is that he gets so excited when I go to put him in it he wiggles so much that I can hardly buckle it shut.
😊
For now, we’re both feeling much better, it is the weekend, and we are going to relax.
We’re grateful for everyone who is following and supporting us during all our trials and triumphs, and we hope you’ll continue to do so.
Thanks for all your suggestions too, they’ve been most helpful.
Well, for now my coffee cup is empty, and I hear Campbell waking in the other room, so I must go.
Until next time this is Patty who is glad for all her friends, and King Campbell A.K.A Bubba who cannot help wiggling saying…
Happy Holiday Weekend, may harmony find you and blessid be.
